Seine, the dream catcher (blue horn) (f) Ceros, the Night mare wrangler (black, straight horn) (m) Aida, the blood unicorn (red, glassy horn) (-) Night Mare, the dream destroyer (no horn) (-) Jadine, the Sleep Bringer (white/yellow horn) (f) Orhi, the other Wrangler (black bent horn) (m) Silyn, another Wrangler (black, swirl horn) (f) Candis, another dream catcher (red, screw horn) (f) Ignus, a dream catcher as well (red, double helix horn) (m) Fluores (electric unicorn, profile not yet written) (m) Solisse (sleep bringer, profile not yet written) (f) _______________________________________________ This is my story about what happens when you go to sleep. :) This world involves two overlapping worlds that exist in the same place. There is the Conscious world -- the one we humans see and feel and experience. Then, there is the Subconscious world. Our minds experience it. Unicorns exist and they are the ones that
There are unicorns, alicorns, pegasi, and horses, but I will refer to them collectively as Unicorns. The unicorns have several roles:
Once a Unicorn has their role (catcher, wrangler, bringer) then they are assigned to a district in the Conscious world to govern (approximately a 30km radius; roughly the size of several towns or a large city). Usually each district has: ~3-5 dream unicorns, ~5-7 wranglers, ~4-6 sleep bringers, and an indeterminable number of night mares (they can appear and disappear as they wish) Appearance of the Subconcious World: It is constantly night-time (there is no sun, only a larger than normal moon in the sky). It gets darker when it is night-time in the Conscious world. The sky is filled with colourful stars. Shooting stars are quite common. The landscape is monotone~ it sort of looks like a photo negative except there is no colour, only tones of sephia or white/black The only colourful things other than the stars in the sky are the beds of multicoloured, pyroelectric crystals which emerge from craters in the ground, where dream butterflies are emitted from. The crystals also grow from the trees and bushes, instead of fruit. Dreams are actually small packets of electrical energy that come from the crystals as they are heated by the core of the Subconscious World. (pyroelectric crystals generate electricity when they are heated. The heat causes electrical charges to flow from one end of the crystal to the other and eventually bud off as a dream butterfly) Life cycle of the Unicorns: Unicorns have families and babies too. They only live until age 30 (human years). They develop faster than humans do (ex. they are out of infancy stage at 6 months of age) A unicorn would spend 5 years in training and about 15 years in their role as a dream catcher, wrangler or sleep bringer. The first 5 years as a child are spent exploring both worlds. During this exploration period, they try to figure out their affinities for what role they'll have when they turn 5 years old. (by this age, they already appear like a human that is 14-16 years old) Then they go for formal training at an academy for 1 year until they are 6 years old. The next decade or so is spent at their job. And the last 5 are spent either at work or with their new families. Usually unicorns have 1 sibling. But they might never meet each other because they're exploring the worlds on their own. It takes them only about 1 month after birth to be a small sized unicorn and independent enough to fend for themselves. Nightdreams, Nightmares, and Daydreams Nightdreams appear as blue butterflies. Dream catchers capture these and absorb them into their hands and store the dreams in their tails. Then they will be delivered to sleepers. If they arrive undamaged, that person is guaranteed to have a sweet dream. Some butterflies get damaged along the way and the dreams they induce are nonsensical and wild. So when you have a crazy dream, that's cause the unicorn who gave it to you either: damaged the dream while sending it, or captures a faulty dream instead of crushing it as they are supposed to. It may be a fluke that they absorbed a bad dream. Nightmares are given to people by Night Mares. They do not need to collect anything, since the source of nightmares is in the green flames of their eyes and tails. They can also change normal dreams into mutated ones by applying some toxic energy from their flames. This changes the appearance of the blue butterflies to something else (this is variable and up for interpretation). The effects on a human/dream catcher unicorn after absorbing a mutated dream is also variable. Daydreams appear as yellow butterflies. They have very small amounts of energy and thus do not keep people preoccupied for very long. Also, they are way more delicate than Nightdreams, so people often get snapped out of a daydream very easily. Beginner dream catchers often start their training as daydream deliverers. Daydreams are abundant in the Conscious world, especially in quiet places or places of monotony (office buildings, schools, libraries). Unicorn interaction with Humans: Unicorns usually take on a small size when they are in the Conscious world, among humans. They want to avoid being seen. However they often relax about hiding when they are around young children. Humans sometimes mistake unicorns in the night for fireflies. The unicorns can also appear human-sized. This is necessary sometimes when they are navigating the human world. They can also float using their magic. Unicorns and dream energy interact in a way that affects the subconscious world's appearance. The longer a unicorn, (especially dream unicorns) stays in the vincinity of humans that are dreaming, the more the subconscious world reflects what is happening in the dreams. For example, if someone was dreaming of being lost in a forest, then vines and plants start forming around them, especially around the closest dream unicorn to the dreamer. This makes it difficult for the dream unicorn to find their way to the next sleeping human. So, it is ideal for dream deliverers to move quickly to the next sleeping person, as to avoid being trapped or delayed by the changing environment around dreamers. If a Unicorn moves further away from the dreamer, then the effects on the surrounding environment dissipates. The dream unicorns gather up dream butterflies in the Subconcious world and also deliver them in the same world. They'll only go to the Conscious world to reset the Subconscious world when dreamers and their dreams alter it too much (dreams sometimes "leak" from the dreamer's minds into the Subconscious world and changes how it looks: ex. someone dreaming about swimming will have water around themselves in the Subconscious world). Sleep bringers visit the real/Conscious world to put humans to sleep with their sleeping powders. They have to do it without being seen, in the real world/conscious world (that you and I see when we are awake) They usually wait until people are more or less settled down in bed or their chairs, or desks XD and just needs to sprinkle some powder in the air near their heads. The tingly feeling in the eyes you get when you are starting to fall asleep is the result of the powder reacting with your eyes. You might start blinking more often as you drift off to sleep, it's a result of your eyes trying to get rid of the powder, and yawning will produce tears that try to wash the powder out as well. There are a lot of sleep bringers to take care of bigger populations. After sleep bringers put the population to sleep, dream deliverers like Seine move in to distribute dreams, and night mare wranglers like Ceros and Orhi keep a lookout for night mares that are attracted to sleeping humans. Night Mares appear in the Conscious world as big as regular horses. If unicorns get attacked by Night Mares, they often will change to human-size in order to stand a chance against the beast. Night Mares tend to gather where humans are sleeping and physically entangle them with the dark branches of nightmare energy which stream from joints in their skeletons. The more fear a human feels within their dream, the more energy the Night Mares absorb. This is why you may feel really tired after waking up from a nightmare. Dream Unicorn tail and horn colours: Dream unicorns can have any colour horns and tails, as long as they are matching for each individual. The colours sort of symbolize their intentions -- blue or other cool colours like purple or blue-green are for dream unicorns that want to give people good dreams. There's something about the kind of energy they create from the dream butterflies that makes it a certain colour. (I need to research about light and colour) For dream unicorns with the intention of giving humans bad dreams or otherwise malevolent intentions, their horns and tails will have hot colours (reds, oranges, and yellows) For black and white, these show up only when dream unicorns run out of dream butterfly energy. The Cool-types will have white horn/tail (and the tails are very small since their size are proportional to the amount of dream energy they have absorbed/in store). The Hot-types will have black horns/tails. Death of Unicorns: The unicorns can either die from old age (~30 years) or by the unfortunate breaking of their horns. (At the moment of death, their bodies disappear into nothingness) The horns tend to be very sturdy and strong, but a terrible physical blow can break then. An emotional blow can also cause the horn to become weakened and more easily broken. So if a unicorn is feeling extremely sad or hopeless, then they are very vulnerable. Unicorns that die by a broken horn will be reborn as a Night Mare. Unicorns that die from old age just fade away. A fragment of their horn usually is all that's left and these pieces become the seed crystal of a new patch of pyroelectric dream crystals. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Characters ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ========================================== ABOUT SEINE: ========================================== Personality: Chatty, cheerful, ditzy, and loves to tell others about her experiences and stories She lives in the Unconscious world, which is an alternate version of the real world. If she's in an area where people are mostly awake, then her world is really dark and shadowy. Only her horn and tail provide light for her to see by. (it's a blue dream-light) She has good night vision though! This is important because sometimes she doesn't have many dreams in reserve from the previous night, so her tail and horn glow really faintly. At night, when most people go to sleep, her world begins to light up with small glowing butterflies. These butterflies are dreams! They are little packets of electricity that when delivered to humans, cause the brain to conjure up a dream. Seine catches them by simply touching them with her gloved hands. The more dreams she catches, the bigger her tail gets and the more brightly her horn and tail glow. When Seine absorbs a dream, its electrical charge turns into the opposite charge. As a consequence, her tail tends to attract nearby dreams, and it really helps her with dream-collecting. The bigger the tail, the greater the force of attraction (so dream butterflies can be attracted at a bigger distance) Her purpose is to make sure the dreams are pleasant. She looks for faults in the dream butterflies. The ones with broken wings or missing antennae are the ones that she is supposed to destroy by crushing them before they dissolve into her hand and get added to her dream reserve in the tail. Sometimes she makes a mistake and absorbs them and that's when you get a dream that doesn't make sense. When the dreams are delivered, they reform the butterfly they originally appeared as. In her unicorn form, she will go to the real world to visit each sleeping person and give them a dream by moving her horn near their forehead. A glowing butterfly will emerge and then enter through the person's face and induce a dream by changing the brain activity. Seine sometimes uses her humanoid form in the real world. It's handy when you need hands to open door nobs. She can also change size from normal to small, so hide or get around obstacles. ========================================== ABOUT CEROS ========================================== Personality: Careful, calm, alert, and patient Ceros is basically a watcher over the dreamers. He will attack night mares (dark shadowy horses) that try to ruin people's restful sleep. Unlike Seine, he lives mostly in the real world, not the subconcious world. He is usually in his dark alicorn form when he is fighting the night mares because it gives him more speed and strength to fight the night mares. He is in his human form when people are generally awake and the number of night mares roaming about is low enough that he can corral them one by one. Fighting Night Mares involves putting out their flames (wind, water, dirt works) so there is a lot of physical grappling and knocking night mares down to the ground. Also: his tail is very long, so he keeps it wrapped around him when he is in his humanoid form~ C: Since Ceros lives in the human world, can he be seen by humans? Do all fighter-types live in the human world as well, or is Ceros the exception? He tends to hide himself pretty well, but humans would be able to see him if he couldn't hide fast enough. He has a cautious nature, so usually no incidents have happened. He can relax a bit around children or elderly humans, since they tend to be less skeptical about unicorns existing and would rather keep their encounters a secret, since people wouldn't believe them anyway. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their relationship with each other (Seine and Ceros) are as good friends. (for now ;D <3 muahaha) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don't really get to see each other much since Seine is busy catching dreams while Ceros fights off the nightmares.. They do get to hang out a bit when most people are awake. Seine is talkative and likes to talk about people's peculiar sleeping styles which she observes while delivering dreams, and Ceros is a good listener and patient, listening to her blabbering. :3 There are other dream catchers and night mare wranglers in the world. They operate around the world. Sometimes the unicorns are moved to work in another part of the world, and sometimes Seine and Ceros have new coworkers. ========================================== About Silyn ====================================== Silyn is a Night Mare wrangler, who attended and graduated from the same class and academy as Ceros. Personality: She's a bit of a grouch, and likes when other people start conversations rather than herself. She has a bad habit of interrupting other people when they are speaking, but it's because all her ideas flow best while she's listening to people, hahah! She enjoys music very much, and also sings -- she doesn't like to sing in front of other people though (she hums though). She likes to work on making new lullabies and claims her superior hearing abilities allow her to tune in to the frequencies of the dream crystals and get some inspiration for her songs from their sounds. Sometimes, while she is patrolling her district for Night Mares, she comes across a piano or guitar in people's homes, and can't resist playing a few notes. When your instruments get out of tune, it's probably because she had played with it while you were sleeping. She has navy blue hair with peach/orange tips and her tail is also very long like Ceros' (it's a characteristic of Nightmare Wranglers) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their relationship with each other (Silyn and Ceros) are as friends. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! During the 1 year when they were at the Wrangler Academy, they sat together during the lessons and were partners during practical lessons/exams. Silyn tended to slack off while Ceros brought her back on track. ========================================== About Orhi ====================================== Orhi, a surly guy! He's a night mare wrangler, like ceros~ ^ w ^ )) Like Ceros, he is a night mare wrangler. He's really strong and is able to take control of a herd of them with no problem (he's a horse whisperer....LOL!!) ... (LEADER OF THE PACK, MAN....AHAHAAA) He is Jadine's older brother His horn is bent because it was severely damaged when he was younger. He almost died but survived, so his horn continued to grow after the incident. orhi's bent horn: As I mentioned about his horn coming from a near death experience, I should develop about this idea as well. He was training as a new night mare wrangler and was not as capable as he is now of subdueing night mares. It was one of his first times fighting against a real night mare (rather than sparring with other wranglers) and he had been knocked down and the nightmare was about to crush his horn but cracked it instead before it was put out by a senior wrangler who came to orhi's aid just in time. Since his horn was still in one piece, albeit cracked, Orhi survived. As time went on, his horn grew into its characteristic kinked shape. (Horns kind of grow like tree trunks, getting thicker and stronger over time). The bend in the horn is a vulnerability of orhi's. He tried extra hard to compensate for the potential weak point (which can be broken more easily despite the strength in the rest of his horn) by training his physical skills and strength. His personality: orhi has a pretty stoic personality, he is quiet and serious. I actually plan to expand on his and jadine's background as soon as I can get all the ideas organized hehe! Jadine eventually dies (somehow -- not sure yet ) and that's why orhi wears that sash on his arm, cause it was hers. I was thinking about how would the unicorns die, and I think it's fitting if their horns were broken (and hence the night mares are actually dead unicorns... XD) Orhi's horn was almost broken when he was younger but he managed to survive and that's why there is a kink in his horn. I was thinking maybe jadine became a night mare after she died Whoops I totally went on a tangent xD What's the relationship between Orhi and Ceros? Do you have a headcannon of where they first meet? How they act around each other? Or do they not know each other at all? ceros and orhi are colleagues, they know of each other since they are both night mare wranglers. After jadine's death, orhi isn't sure if he wants to continue his duties I'm not too sure how they met They might develop an awkward friendship haha since they both aren't really talkative LOL But they can be written to be more talkative of course! 8D Orhi and Jadine's Relationship? Anything special? What does Orhi think of Jadine and her getting kicked out of the academy? hehe I guess I talked about the sibling's relationship a bit in the question above. They get along really well, orhi lets jadine do whatever she wants because he doesn't want her to feel limited or having to fulfill his expectations for her. He kind of had a gut feeling that she wasn't going to do well as a dream deliverer since she has such an excitable nature (she can't handle staying still haha) and tends to lose focus easily. Lemme get this straight; When the unicorns are in the Conscious world, they are small unicorns? And when they are in the Subconscious world they are in their human forms. Is that right? //Confused O n O hehe yeah, that's right! They tend to choose to be in unicorn form during time in the conscious world (I.e. in the presence of conscious humans) and turn into humanoid forms when they are either searching for dream butterflies in the subconscious world or when they are off duty (when humans are generally awake in their assigned districts) When they are unicorns, they communicate with each other telepathically. Night mare wranglers choose their forms depending on how much work is cut out for them. So when there are a lot of night mares, being in unicorn form grants extra speed and strength to attack them into submission (defeated night mares vanish into nothing when they sustain critical injuries/wounds). In the human form, ceros can handle up to 3 night mares ====================================== About Jadine ====================================== Personality: stubborn, optimistic, go-getter, determined, lazy at times She is Orhi's younger sister. She had tried to train to become a dream deliverer (like Seine is). The dreams look like delicate blue butterflies. Anyway, she could not get the hang of capturing them without damaging their wings or crushing them , so she got booted out of the academy. One of her old teachers offered to teach her something else though -- to help people get some sleep, by using a special lavender powder. It's made from extracting the smell from lavender flowers (from the Subconscious world) and crystallizing it into a solid (defying science!!). Then the solid crystals are crushed to form the powder. The training was mostly to teach her how to make the powder. The job is easy afterwards. A little sprinkle of the purple dust in the room of a person and they'll sleep peacefully within a few minutes. She is a stubborn optimist, also lazy at times. If you have trouble sleeping, it's because she's not doing her job @___@;; About Jadine's Death As a sleep bringer, she has no training against fighting nightmares. She was using her sleep powder on some humans in the subconscious world and was not aware of some night mares lurking around. Usually, they don't appear until most humans (70-80%) of humans in an area (town/city level) are asleep. (So, the longer a sleep bringer is working in an area, the higher their chances of encountering Night Mares) But for some reason this sudden attack against her occurred when she was just starting her shift. the Night mare wranglers usually trail behind sleep bringers as they go about putting people to sleep, so Orhi was not too far behind her, on the look out for night mares. On the night of jadine's death, someone (or somebodies) had led the night mares to the town by telling them they will have an endless source of energy from the human there, since they will be induced under a kind of sleep paralysis, where the humans cannot wake up. this part is where you can get creative. In my mind I am thinking Candis and Ignus play a part. They would not be above experimenting with a new kind of dream butterfly to give humans some kind of nightmare that triggers the brain to stay in a sleep cycle. Or maybe there was tampering with the sleep powder used by the sleep bringers. Or both lol!! (So candis and ignus are antagonists -- they don't have the benevolent feelings towards other unicorns or humans. They just look for ways to amuse themselves, which includes seeing others suffer. I need to work on their back stories hehe) In any case, Jadine was caught off guard by several night mares. She tried to defend herself when they charged at her but got knocked down eventually. One of the night mares crushed her horn with their hoof, which caused her death. Orhi came to the scene too late (there must have been something that distracted him) and when he saw his sister on the ground, she was already starting to fade away as dying unicorns do. Her last words to him were 'don't forget me', which made him so sad because he knew she felt bad about not successfully becoming a dream unicorn, and she considered sleep bringers to be an unimportant job (even though it is important). Orhi kept her arm sash as a memento of Jadine. ====================================== About Aida: ====================================== Personality: listless, tired, also easily gets fixated on things/people and will follow them for a while Aida is a master of illusions. (Actually, her grey-blue eyes are illusions as well!! They are actually empty eye sockets and she has a very good sense of smell and hearing). She tends to drift among people who are awake, but also weakened -- dehydrated, exhausted, or on medication. Her close presence stirs up hallucinations. After (if?) the person manages to see past the hallucination, they feel disoriented and dizzy. This is a result of Aida stealing a portion of the person's blood while they were "not all there". Why does she consume blood? She is an unfinished creature, who seeks to fill in the missing parts with what she thinks is missing. She has no organs, her body is like an empty shell. So she does not feel like she is alive. She tries to fill herself with blood to become "alive". When she is near you, sometimes you can hear a high pitched sound...her glumness and longing to "live" makes her emit that whining sound from her throat. You may also hear a dripping sound. Is it a faucet? Maybe. But it could also be the sound of the blood she has consumed, slowly dripping in her empty body cavity. Human beings cannot see her, only other unicorns and dream creatures can. No visible wounds remain after her feeding. Her nails have anesthetic and healing properties that keep her meddling a secret from humans. She draws blood into her arm bones by absorbing it through her nails. Her bones turn from white to black as they seep with blood. ====================================== About Candis and Ignus: ====================================== Candis is a female dream catcher, just like Seine. She has white hair that is pretty long! It reaches the middle of her back if it is left loose. Usually, she has it parted into two halves, each braided and pinned from the top of her neck and up around the sides of her head. The ends of the braids are hung from behind her head and over her long white ears. They swish out to either sides of her head. Candis has a younger brother named Ignus. He is also a dream catcher. Both siblings have red horns and a billowing tail that is a matching crimson colour. They work in an area that is separate from where Seine and Ceros work, but it is close enough that they could bump into each other, if they went outside their districts. Candis' personality: Candis' personality is sarcastic and taunting. She will say things that seem polite but her tone of voice makes it clear she means it in a mocking way. She enjoys seeing others get angry or emotional. She herself doesn't really get upset easily. When something happens that isn't what she expected, she accepts it with a shrug. She can usually think of solutions around obstacles~ Ignus' personality: Ignus is her younger brother and he tends to try being the one in charge (showing off his physical strength or making plans) but he doesn't always think things through well or overestimates his own abilities so ends up making a fool of himself. He makes up for the clutziness with good humour and an easy smile. He follows his sister's lead in trying to find new ways of disrupting sleepers' dreams because he finds it interesting to experiment and see new effects of differently corrupted dream butterflies (to corrupt a dream butterfly involves changing the energy that it is made up of -- can be physically damaged so the energy flows differently, or add/subtract energy from other sources (this is totally open for whatever ideas you have XD I was thinking about how there are special kinds of gems/crystals in the subconscious world and they have energy within them as well that could be tapped into) Ignus is more prone to showing disappointment in comparison to Candis. When he does, Candis will probably say something sarcastic and mean XD he becomes more resolute with failures (he thinks he will do better next time -his willpower is strong :3 ) I'm contemplating making these two into antagonists. They collaborate with Night Mares and bring dreams to the night mares rather than sleeping humans. The night mares then turn the dream butterflies into corrupted ones, which appear green. The corrupted dreams tend to hang around the Night Mares, as they look for people who haven't had dreams delivered to them yet. If the green dream merges with one of these people, then they become afflicted by chronic insomnia and become unable to sleep for days. Some people may die from a lack of sleep since their bodies become so exhausted. They become accident-prone (car accidents, workplace incidents, etc). ====================================== About Night Mares: ====================================== There is black stuff is trailing off of these mares and it looks kind of like tree branches. When you have a nightmare, you may feel trapped and lost, like in a black forest. ; 7 ; Those dark branches keep the sleeper entwined in their nightmare! Night Mares prowl around in the real world. They disguise themselves as those creepy shadows on the walls or in closets when people look at them. When they are asleep, however, they take their skeletal horse form and begin wrapping the sleeper in the branching wisps of darkness, immersing the sleeper in nightmares. They feed off the person's fear. Night Mares can corrupt dream butterflies! The night mares can turn the dream butterflies into corrupted ones, which appear green. What happens in this change is the dream butterflies have their electrical energy altered. This makes the person who absorbed the corrupted dream keep thinking that they hear noises and other distractions that prevent them from falling asleep. The corrupted dreams tend to hang around the Night Mares, as they look for people who haven't had dreams delivered to them yet. If the green dream merges with one of these people, then they become afflicted by chronic insomnia and become unable to sleep for weeks, months, or years. Some people may die from a lack of sleep since their bodies become so exhausted. They become accident-prone (car accidents, workplace incidents, etc). About fighting night mares If night mare wranglers can put out their flames, then they'll dissipate~ Ceros can use wind from his wings, a cleansing light from his horn, or simply brute stamping force to put of da fiyah! * [] * ///// How do night mares attack the unicorns? They can strangle unicorns with their dark branches, and also use them like whips, spears, and projectiles. Their hooves are quite sharp on the edges, and can cause cuts when they kick and stamp. Also, they use their green fire to cause burns as well . the tail can flare up and become quite large~ when it burns hotter, it looks more bluish than green. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some questions I got: Just how does the travelling between worlds mentioned... somewhere work? I had imagined the subconcious and concious worlds to be parallel such that they overlap each other and exist in the same place at the same time. The unicorns can enter either world by will alone. And the longer one stays in the subconcious world, the more it morphs into more of a magical world (but it resets to match with the concious (what you and I see) world when they exit the subconscious one) And how do the dreams actually come to "life", if I can call it that? as an example of how the world changes, you asked about how the dreams come to life. They are bundles of energy (electrical? :3) that form deep in the subconcious world. The reason why it takes us a while to dream is because the unicorns need to spend more time in the subconcious world before it changes enough for these little craters to form. And from each crater, the dreams just fly out of them and fade away after they've run out of energy from moving about. On average a person has about 5-6 dreams a night, so unicorns need to collect a lot of them before they go deliver dreams to the humans. How would the unicorns get back to the dreamers if the subconcious world has warped while they were in it? I guess they gotta make a brief visit to the concious world, make sure people are still sleeping and resetting the sub con world, and then jump back into the sub con to give a few dream butterflies to each person. |
